With Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham all out of form, can Bournemouth qualify for the European Cup for the first time in their history?
Their fans think so – they sang about European qualification in their win at Old Trafford.
“I think they must enjoy it a lot because normally you don’t go to these stadiums many times,” Iraola added.
“I came as a player and it’s difficult to get results like this, so obviously we have to enjoy, they have to enjoy.
“But we know how much it costs to win a game in the Premier League, just one game against anyone.
“To win a game in the Premier League is very, very difficult, so we have to keep going like that otherwise the result will definitely be much worse.”
In December 2023, Bournemouth owner Bill Foley said he was confident the club could qualify for Europe within five years.
More recently, he told BBC Sport: “We have big aspirations but we are very patient.
“Our goals this year are very modest. Can we get into the top 8 or 9, maybe even sneak into Europe?
Our real aim is to play in Europe, to give our players the opportunity to experience Europe and to do that with the small team Bournemouth.”
Cherry fans may need to dust off their passports if their team continues to impress as they did at Old Trafford.
